Meet Michael Lin, CPA, MBT
Michael Lin, CPA, MBT is a longtime Diamond Bar resident, Certified Public Accountant, business leader,
and current Walnut Valley Water District Director representing Division 5.
A Diamond Bar resident since 1999, Michael has built his professional career and community involvement in Southern California. As a CPA, he brings extensive experience in accounting, taxation, finance, and business advisory services to public service, with an emphasis on fiscal responsibility, accountability, and long-term planning.
Michael earned his B.A. in Business Economics with an emphasis in Accounting from UC Santa Barbara (UCSB) and his Master of Business Taxation (MBT) from the University of Southern California (USC). He also completed academic studies at National Taiwan University and Peking University.
Michael has been recognized by the Los Angeles Business Journal as one of its Top 100 Accountants and as a Leaders of Influence – Minority CPAs honoree in multiple years.

Community & Public Service
Michael is actively involved with the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) Practitioner Liaison Committee, the International Creative Class Alliance, the California Highway Patrol's annual CHiPS for Kids Toy Drive, and the Sino-American CPAs Association.
In July 2026, Michael was appointed to the Walnut Valley Water District Board of Directors to represent
Division 5 following a public recruitment and interview process.
